# About FleetMe, how business contract hire works with us

> FleetMe supplies commercial vehicles to businesses in England and Wales on business contract hire: vans, pickups, tippers, Lutons, dropsides, crew cabs and company cars. FleetMe supplies the vehicle itself and the agreement is with FleetMe. Limited companies and LLPs hire over terms up to 12 months on a fixed monthly rental; sole traders hire over terms up to 12 months. We confirm the vehicle, the term, the mileage and the price in writing before anything is agreed.

## Who we are
FleetMe supplies vans, body conversions, pickups and company cars from a base in Warrington, Cheshire, to customers across England and Wales. The trading name FleetMe belongs to FleetMe Limited, company number 17434379.

We supply the vehicle ourselves. When you take a vehicle from us the agreement is with FleetMe, we quote the price, we confirm it in writing, and we stand behind the agreement.

## Our two products, and who each is for
- **Business contract hire** (also called business vehicle leasing, business van leasing, commercial vehicle contract hire), for **UK limited companies and LLPs**. Term: **up to 12 months**. A fixed monthly rental for an agreed term and annual mileage. The vehicle goes back at the end, this is a hire agreement, not a purchase, so the business never owns it. Vans, pickups, tippers, Lutons, dropsides, crew cabs and company cars.
- **Sole trader vehicle hire** (also called sole trader van hire), for **UK sole traders**. Term: **up to 12 months**. The same vehicles on a shorter agreement. No filed accounts needed, and the vehicle goes back at the end.

Which one applies is decided by who the customer is, not by preference. A limited company or LLP takes business contract hire. An individual or a sole trader takes sole trader vehicle hire, and that product is never described as a lease.

## What business contract hire is
You pay an initial rental, then a fixed monthly rental for an agreed term of up to 12 months and an agreed annual mileage. Road tax is normally included for the life of the contract, and maintenance can be added so servicing, tyres and routine repairs sit inside the same monthly figure. At the end you hand the vehicle back against fair wear and tear standards, or talk to us about a replacement. The business never owns the vehicle.

## What sole trader vehicle hire is
A self-contained rental of up to 24 months for individuals and sole traders. It is not a lease and not contract hire. If you need the vehicle beyond that period, a further period is arranged as a new agreement rather than an extension of the old one.

## Who we can help
Business contract hire underwriting: Good and fair credit profiles are the most straightforward. New limited companies with no trading history are considered. Commercial underwriting weighs the business and its directors alongside its filed accounts. None of that is a promise of approval, and we will always tell you if we cannot help.

## Being straight about price
Monthly rentals, shown ex VAT first, with the inc-VAT figure alongside. Every price on the site is an indicative "from" guide price, not a quote and not an offer, and is quoted on a 12-month term at the mileage shown. Courier rates include service and maintenance; commercial van and car rates do not. Real rates vary by specification, term, mileage and underwriting, and are confirmed in writing.

## What we are not
- Not a vehicle dealer, we do not sell vehicles, new or used.
- Not a purchase, lease purchase or hire purchase product, the vehicle is handed back at the end of the agreement.
- Not a daily rental desk, the minimum term is 3 months and there is no counter to walk up to.
- Not a supplier of minibuses, HGVs, buses or specialist plant.

## About FleetMe, your questions

### What is FleetMe?

FleetMe supplies vans, pickups and company cars to UK businesses. Limited companies and LLPs take business contract hire over terms up to 12 months on a fixed monthly rental; sole traders hire over terms up to 12 months. We are based in Warrington, Cheshire and work with businesses across England and Wales.

### Is FleetMe the leasing company, or does it pass my enquiry to someone else?

FleetMe is the leasing company. You lease the vehicle from us and the hire agreement is between your business and FleetMe. We price the vehicle, we confirm the figure in writing, and we are the company you deal with for the life of the agreement.

### How long has FleetMe been trading?

FleetMe is a new company, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a history we do not have. What you can judge us on from day one is how we handle the enquiry: a clear written quote, an honest answer on whether we can help, and no pressure either way.

### Who owns the vehicle?

Not your business, that is the point of contract hire. You hire the vehicle for an agreed term and mileage and hand it back at the end, so you never carry the risk of what it is worth second-hand.

### How does FleetMe make money?

From the rentals your business pays under the hire agreement. The monthly rental covers the use of the vehicle over the term you have agreed. Anything outside that monthly figure, excess mileage, or damage beyond fair wear and tear when the vehicle goes back, is set out in your quote and agreement before you sign.

### Does FleetMe run a credit check?

Yes. Hiring involves a credit assessment of the business, and usually of its directors as well. Good and fair credit profiles are the most straightforward. New limited companies with no trading history are considered. Commercial underwriting weighs the business and its directors alongside its filed accounts. None of that is a promise of approval, and we will always tell you if we cannot help.

### What kind of businesses does FleetMe work with?

Limited companies and LLPs take business contract hire over terms up to 12 months, on a fixed monthly rental. Sole traders hire over terms up to 12 months. You do not need filed accounts either way, and the agreement is with FleetMe. We work with businesses across England and Wales.

### What do you need from me to give a quote?

For a guide figure: the vehicle or the job it has to do, the contract term and annual mileage you want, and your company name or number. To turn that into a firm quote and a decision we will need company and director details, and bank details for the direct debit.

### How quickly will I hear back?

We aim to give a decision in principle the same working day in most cases, once we have the basics about the business and the vehicle. If we cannot help, we will say so rather than leave you waiting.

*FleetMe supplies the vehicle and the agreement is with us. Limited companies and LLPs take business contract hire; sole traders take vehicle hire. Either way the longest term is 12 months. Quotes are indicative until your vehicle, term, mileage and rental are confirmed in writing. Individuals and sole traders are served by vehicle hire of up to 12 months, not by contract hire. Prices shown are guide prices, not quotes or offers.*
